From Kaliningrad to Vladivostok: the 1st Regional Advertising Festival covered the entire geography of Russia
The acceptance of entries for the First Regional Advertising Festival, which will be held in Yekaterinburg on July 2, continues. Participants from Tver, Novosibirsk, Izhevsk, Kazan, Moscow, Grozny, Yekaterinburg, Ufa, St. Petersburg, Barnaul, Kaliningrad, Kirov, Saratov and Vladivostok have already sent their creative cases!
The First RAF is a project of the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia, aimed at developing the regional advertising market, and in terms of the geography of its participants, it is close to the national one.
Yana Blyakhman, producer of the First Regional Festival 1st: “The goal of 1st festival is to find new heroes of the creative industry in different regions of Russia. There are ambitious agencies, freelancers and brands with examples of cool projects in advertising in every city. The 1st festival provides an opportunity to go beyond the region and make oneself known to the whole country. The main thing is to stop doubting and show your work to an expert jury. Industry leaders will determine the winners and point out growth points for all participants of the Competition. There is very little time left until the deadline, the last day of online applications for participation in the First Regional Advertising Festival is already June 18th. ”
Initially, the festival was conceived as a platform for the start of ambitious regional players who are ready to declare themselves to the whole country, but are not ready to compete with the largest federal companies or international agencies in large-scale professional competitions.
Danil Snitko, jury member of the 1st festival, creative director of the branding agency “Dva Slova” (“Two Words”): “There is a difference between Moscow and the regions, but there are also anti-examples. Of course, the concentration of the entire crowd, the industrial bustle is taking place in Moscow – easier access to events, access to training and easier access to federal companies, because they just work in the same city. But regional agencies can work on an equal footing with the capital’s guys without moving anywhere. And there are good examples – Voskhod or TutkovBudkov, who are tearing everyone up in creativity. There are colleagues from Novosibirsk who work with very large global companies. The 1st Regional Advertising Festival is a good attempt to fill an empty niche. It seems to me that regional agencies in recent years have been generally indifferent to all festivals. There are actually a lot of advertising agencies and design studios across the country, but there are no festivals specifically for them”.
In addition to advertising agencies, creative advertising cases for participation of the competition can be submitted by business representatives, and even freelancers, whose projects have become bright, unusual and remembered by the audience.
Festival participants can choose one of three categories: digital, creative, activations, and more than 40 nominations: from SMM and native advertising to social and digital campaigns, mobile applications, branding and outdoor advertising. AKAR focuses on accessible and understandable participation, therefore, it guarantees the contestants friendly consulting and assistance at all stages.
The regional focus of the festival attracted the interest of the industry’s first experts. The jury consisted of representatives of key agencies, brands and media: both federal players and participants in the advertising market from the regions of Russia. The entries will be evaluated by top managers and creative directors of top Russian agencies that have long established themselves not only in the Russian but also in the global advertising market: BBDO Group, AA “Voskhod”, Possible Group Moscow, e: mg Group.
Applications will be accepted until June 18 on the official website of the festival. The final event of the First Regional Advertising Contest will be an offline festival, which will be held as part of the NAF “Regions” advertising forum on July 1 and 2, 2021 in Yekaterinburg.
Thus, in addition to the competition itself, which takes place online, the participants will also have an extensive offline educational program: discussions, creative sessions, networking. The award ceremony is scheduled for July 2. The winners will have the opportunity to present their cases for free at the international advertising festival Red Apple.
